As of June 2009, Pack 53 has a new chartering organization and home!

Faith Baptist Church in Auburn is our new base of operations for both the Troop and the Pack, and we are all extremely excited by the new facility, members and leadership of the church.  With this new partnership, we are hoping to bring even more energy and events to the Pack, and will find new ways to support each other's organizations as we move forward into this new chapter of Pack 53...

Check out Faith's website for more information on their other programs and activities:  http://www.FaithAuburn.org

Please contact the Cubmaster with any questions/comments about the pack or this web site: Cubmaster@auburnpack53.org

What this web will be offering in the coming months:

  • Current functionality needs to be tweaked to handle den vs pack events, list the date rather than just the number of days until the event on the left sidebar, and include information like event leader, cost, meeting place)
  • Mailing lists for announcements
    • Den and Pack leaders will be able to use this to make announcements to their dens, or to the entire pack
  • Photo Gallery for pack events
    • Still being debugged-- issues with the web hosting service O/S libraries
  • Discussion Forums within the website, with all pack members allowed to post and contribut
  • Blogs by the den and pack leaders (well, the Cubmaster may give this a try at least
  • Den-specific pages and content, including rank advancement status of den members, announcements, badge requirements, upcoming den-specific events, etc
  • "Opt-in" email notifications of new web content (instantaneous, or in a daily/weekly "digest" format).
  • RSS feeds are also supported by the web framework; this won't be configured initially

If you have other ideas, let the cubmaster and/or webmaster know. If we can figure out how to implement it, we'll give it our best shot!
